# Open Educational Paper Model — Simple Civic Building (CC BY 4.0)

## What this is
A **generic two-storey civic building** (fictional town hall block): rectangular body, pitched roof, four walls with simple window cut-lines. Suitable for ages ~10+ with scissors and glue.

## Materials
- 1 sheet A4 or A3, 200–300 gsm card / heavy paper (FSC preferred)
- Scissors or craft knife + cutting mat
- Glue stick or white glue
- Ruler, bone folder (optional)

## Parts (see `net-simple-civic.svg`)
1. Front wall (door + two windows)
2. Back wall (three windows)
3. Left wall / Right wall
4. Roof (two rectangles + ridge tabs)
5. Base floor (optional, for stability)
6. Tabs marked grey in the SVG

## Assembly steps
1. Print the SVG at 100% scale (do not “fit to page” if you want accurate edges).
2. Score all dashed fold lines lightly.
3. Cut solid outer edges; cut window openings if desired (or draw them).
4. Fold tabs inward; glue walls into a rectangle on the base.
5. Attach roof halves; align ridge.
6. Let dry; optionally label with a fictional town name for classroom stories.

A **generic box truck** (fictional fleet vehicle): floor, four walls, roof, cab-window marks. Same materials and fold logic as the civic building. Useful for logistics / mobility workshops without copying a real brand.
